Why should you get to know Valkyrie_09?
I love travelling, I did a great deal of international travel and look forward when I can explore South Africa with someone who also enjoys beautiful scenery and quaint hotels. I have a dry sense of humour and appreciation for action flicks, especially the ones where guns and gore feature prominently and science fiction. Enjoy wining and dining, good theatre and above all, an excellent conversation.
Would like to meet someone who appreciates the more obscure points of life, does not mind when I discuss the finer points of why the Original Star Wars were better then the more recent prequels. Oh, and has patience when I walk 'past' shoe stores.
I don't meet expectations of 'down-to-earth', sweet, confident and all those wonderful clichés that populate everyone's expectations these days. I am most definitely human and have my doubts, my moments of insecurity and like anyone who has to deal with the realities of the corporate life have a mask, behind which I hide my true feelings for some people with whom I have to work, but not particularly like. I don't expect anyone to be sweet, funny and 'all things nice' 100% of the time. I would however, love to meet someone who can admit to having a bad day or being upset without fearing they would lose my respect.

Someone with a good sense of humour, intelligent and kind. I like men that are ambitious, but are willing to get to where they want to by not being slimy. Incredible vanity and obsessive love of sports are not the qualities I admire. Someone who likes to question the establishment and likes to read. Is not intimidated by smart women, or a large vocabulary. I am not a fan of prudes and moral preachers.
Looks are not nearly as important as personality, but personal hygiene should not be the victim of this statement.
Also, no strange looks when I quote from "Die Hard" movies, it's a habit of mine that I cannot seem to kick.
